Unveiling the 2025 Mahindra Thar Electric A New Aesthetic Based on Leaked Patent Design

Unveiling the 2025 Mahindra Thar Electric A New Aesthetic Based on Leaked Patent Design

The 2025 Mahindra Thar.e serves as a gateway for the company's export strategies, distinct from the design resemblances of the Jeep Wrangler.

In Johannesburg, South Africa, at its Futurescape event last year, Mahindra showcased its remarkable forward-thinking designs. Of all the showpieces, the Thar.e, slated for launch in 2025, was the main head turner. A leaked online image of the production spec design patents was the basis for digital artist Pratyush Rout creating a render of the anticipated 2025 Mahindra Thar Electric.

This mammoth off-road SUV's towering presence is evident in its 300mm ground clearance, making it taller than the current 3-door Thar ICE. The machine will also be longer due to its standard 5-door design. However, what is mere impressive is Mahindra's grand leap in design language reflected in the Thar.e concept. In comparison to the existing Thar, the Mahindra Thar Electric sports a radical design language. It eliminates round headlights, Wrangler-like flared wheel arches, and bonnet clips. Instead, it introduces a conventional bonnet adorned with oversized Mahindra lettering on the front. The muscle-flexing front quarter panel protrudes boldly, and features a unique squarish quad-LED DRL. Horizontal LED turn indicators positioned next to these headlights enhance the appeal.

The closed grill boasts a Thar.e badge, Mahindra Twin Peaks logo and three rectangular cutouts. Solid bumpers and body cladding further enhance its robust appeal. The Thar 5-Door reflected the trapezoidal wheel arches, which this model continues. The render's windshield angle leans back subtly, complemented by a darkened roof and pillars. Contrasting the boxy side profile common to the previous Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee models, this render adopts a rounder detailing. Some design components from the Thar EV concept carry over to this render, including exposed door hinges, pull-up style door handles, a kink in the front window line, and squarish ORVMs. It, however, features more realistic 5-spoke wheels.

In the past, Mahindra confronted some challenges due to the comparable designs of Thar and Jeep Wrangler. Likely, the design modification of Thar is a strategic move to bypass this issue. Alongside bypassing the similarities, it would pave the way for Mahindra to increase its global export propositions. The Thar new design would possibly replicate its charm that has won over Indian buyers, in global markets too. The render of our 2025 Mahindra Thar Electric is ready to be exported. It incorporates the company’s newly introduced INGLO born-electric platform. The dual motor setup facilitates AWD, with a battery pack potentially ranging between 60-80 kWh. Projected to launch in 2025 or later, the price could approximately fall between Rs 25 to 30 lakhs.

Royal Enfield's Guerrilla 450 neo-retro roadster launches July 17. Built on the Himalayan platform, it has enthusiasts buzzing with excitement.

Royal Enfield enthusiasts and motorcycling fans alike have been buzzing with excitement since the announcement of the Guerrilla 450's forthcoming launch on July 17. Set to make waves as a neo-retro roadster, the Guerrilla 450 is built on the proven Himalayan platform, and a steady stream of leaks and reports has piqued curiosity even further.

Multiple Variants and Display Options

Royal_Enfields_Guerrilla_450 Recently, we revealed that the Guerrilla 450 is poised to feature a semi-digital display, similar to the ones seen on Royal Enfield's Hunter, Meteor, Scram, Shotgun, and Super Meteor models. This speculation has now been substantiated with newly surfaced images showing two distinct display types for the Guerrilla 450. The roadster will be available in several variants. While the premium trims will boast a sophisticated TFT display akin to the one on the Himalayan, more budget-friendly versions will come equipped with a digi-analogue dash complemented by a small Tripper pod. Given Royal Enfield’s reputation for aggressive pricing, it's plausible that the entry-level variant might even omit the Tripper pod to keep costs down.

Color Schemes and Pricing Indications

Royal_Enfields_Guerrilla_450 In tandem with the display options, the visuals have also given us a glimpse of potential color schemes. The top-tier variant of the Guerrilla 450, which features the TFT display, is shown adorned in a striking dual-tone red and gold paint scheme. This aligns with Royal Enfield's trend of offering dual-tone colors on its higher-end models. As the official launch date inches closer, more details are anticipated to emerge. Current speculations suggest that the pricing for the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will range between ₹ 2.30 lakh to ₹ 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Teaser Builds for July 5 Global Debut

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Teaser Builds for July 5 Global Debut

BMW will globally debut the R 1300 GS Adventure on July 5th, featuring a larger fuel tank and styling, following the standard R 1300 GS launch

BMW Motorrad is gearing up for the highly anticipated global debut of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, scheduled for July 5th. This follows the recent launch of the standard R 1300 GS model. The Adventure variant is poised to enhance the lineup, aiming to cater to those looking for a more aggressive bike in BMW's flagship series. In anticipation of the official release, BMW has teased enthusiasts with glimpses of the new Adventure model's headlamp and a larger fuel tank, which is expected to have a capacity ranging from 19 to 29 liters. This teaser provides a hint of what’s to come in terms of styling, specifications, and more.

Bodywork and Design

the BMW R 1300 GS When compared to the standard R 1300 GS, the Adventure model boasts several significant improvements. One of the most noticeable features is the integration of auxiliary lights into the bodywork. Other notable enhancements include a wider windscreen and a taller stature, making it more suited for long-distance rides and off-road adventures. Additionally, wind deflectors under the handlebars have been added to improve rider comfort. Upon closer inspection, the engine guard also appears to differ from the standard model, suggesting that BMW aims to provide more robust protection for off-road conditions. To further distinguish the Adventure variant, BMW may offer new paint jobs. However, elements like the LED headlight, beak, and side and tail panels are likely to remain consistent with the standard GS.

Engine Specifications

the BMW R 1300 GS Mechanically, the R 1300 GS Adventure is powered by a 1,300cc twin-cylinder engine capable of generating 149Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm and 145bhp of maximum power at 7,750rpm. Like the standard GS, it is equipped with a six-speed transmission. Additionally, there are industry speculations that BMW may incorporate its newly introduced Automated Shift Assistant (ASA). The ASA system employs two electromechanical actuators—one for the clutch and another for gear shifts. These actuators work in conjunction with the ECU and sensors to detect the clutch position and the revs of the transmission input shaft. This setup allows for both semi-manual and automatic shifting through the foot lever, providing versatility and ease of use.

Hardware and Electronic Aids

the BMW R 1300 GS BMW Motorrad is expected to enhance the Adventure model’s off-road capabilities by upgrading the telelever and paralever suspension systems. These upgrades might include longer suspension travel or an increased weight-handling capacity, making the bike more resilient in tough terrains. The electronics suite is anticipated to be comprehensive, potentially featuring radar-assisted cruise control.

Market and Pricing

the BMW R 1300 GS In the Indian market, the R 1300 GS Adventure will be introduced at a later date. Given that the R 1300 GS retails for Rs 20.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the Adventure variant is expected to come at a higher price point. It will compete with other high-end models such as the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally and the DesertX Rally. With its enhanced features and mechanical upgrades, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is set to be a formidable contender in the adventure touring segment. Enthusiasts and prospective buyers can look forward to its official reveal on July 5th.

Conclusion

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure promises a blend of robust engineering and advanced technology, making it a worthy addition to BMW's lineup of adventure motorcycles. With its global premiere just around the corner, it remains to be seen how it will be received in both international and Indian markets. But one thing is certain: the competition will be stiff, with rivals like the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally and the DesertX Rally in the fray.

Farewell to an Icon Nissan GT-R R35 Discontinued After 17 Years

Nissan ends GT-R R35 production in October 2024 after 17 years, introducing special Skyline and Takumi editions to honor the iconic sports cars.

After a remarkable production run of 17 years, the Nissan GT-R R35 will be discontinued in North America come October 2024. This iconic sports car, which debuted at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show, has left an indelible mark on the automotive world. Nissan USA has announced two exclusive editions, Skyline and Takumi, to commemorate the end of the GT-R R35's production. Let's delve into the specifics of these special models.

Takumi and Skyline Limited Editions: Key Highlights

Takumi_Skyline_Limited_Editions The Skyline limited-edition model is based on the GT-R Premium and offers a striking Bayside Blue exterior paint combined with a matching blue interior. Conversely, the Takumi Edition is an enhanced version of the 2024 GT-R T-Spec. It features larger front fenders, gold RAYS forged wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a unique midnight purple paint scheme. The Takumi Edition is crafted by Nissan’s master craftsmen, known as Takumi, and is adorned with red calligraphy on the exterior emblems and a gold VIN plate in the engine bay. Both special editions are powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V-6 engine that produces 557 horsepower. Nissan's press release revealed, "Both models are expected to arrive at select U.S. Nissan dealers this summer. Fewer than 200 units will be available, making this a rare and exclusive exit from the North American market."

Why Nissan Is Bidding Adieu to the Iconic Sportscar

Takumi_Skyline_Limited_Editions All great things must eventually come to an end, and the GT-R R35 is no exception. The current-generation GT-R made its debut in 2007, effectively replacing the earlier R34 Skyline GT-R. Fondly nicknamed 'Godzilla,' the GT-R R35 consistently delivered extraordinary performance through two significant redesigns, multiple limited editions, and numerous performance upgrades. It became a favorite in tuning circles, with some versions achieving over 986 horsepower. In a recent press release, the automaker did not specify the reasons for discontinuing the model but stated, "While the R35 GT-R leaves an unforgettable legacy, Nissan is now hyper-focused on the future and the next era of exciting innovation in performance." Notably, Nissan introduced the Hyper Force, an electric GT-R concept, last October; however, it is not expected to reach production stage anytime soon. The discontinuation also marks the end of an era for North American markets, which were among the last to sell the GT-R, following its removal from Australian markets in 2021 and European markets in 2022.

Conclusion

The Nissan GT-R R35’s storied 17-year journey is set to conclude in North America after October 2024. This legendary sports car, which has earned a reputation for exceptional performance and innovation, will be remembered through its two final editions: the Skyline and Takumi. Both models highlight the craftsmanship and engineering prowess that have made the GT-R a beloved icon in the automotive world.
