Royal Enfield has introduced the Himalayan motorbike in three new colors- Glacial Blue, Sleet Black, and Dune Brown. The brand shared that these colors are inspired by the grandeur of the Himalayan landscape.
Dune Brown is inspired by the color of dunes in the Nubra Valley, Ladakh. Glacial Blue is taken from the ice glaciers of the Himalayas. These three new color options are offered in addition to the existing, Granite Black, Gravel Grey, and Pine Green colors that are available for RE Himalayan. These new options are priced at a marginal hike of about Rs. 1300.
The new color schemes can be clearly seen on the Royal Enfield Himalayan’s front beak, fuel tank, front face, rear mud-guard, and side panels. Apart from the new color options being launched, no other mechanical or design changes have been made to this bike. It is powered by an air-cooled, 411 cc SOHC engine which delivers the power of 24.3bhp and torque of 32Nm. It was dual channel ABS at the rear which is switchable, and a ground clearance of 220mm. These features clearly help the bike on off-road tracks. It comes with a 5-speed gearbox.
Additionally, it offers a tripper navigation system, hazard warning light, and hazard lamp switch.
B Govindarajan, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Enfield commented “The reliable and consistent performance of the Himalayan coupled with the introduction of these new terrain-inspired hues will definitely add more color to every adventure.”
The RE Himalayan gets updates like a new debossed logo on the side panels and grille, and a USB charging port.
The brand has also meanwhile discontinued, The Lake Blue, Rock Red, and Mirage Silver color options for this bike.
