Tata Motors has designed the Curvv with a striking, coupe-like profile, setting it apart from the rest. The simple yet elegant side profile of the Curvv deserves mention as well. Its chrome window lining enhances the vehicle's dynamism and contrasts appealingly with the blacked-out B pillar. Additionally, the Curvv is the first Tata vehicle with flush-type door handles. The fuel lid boasts a curved profile, a change from the usual right-angled rectangular types, which enhances the SUV’s streamlined look.
The Curvv doesn’t skimp on the SUV look with thick body cladding and squared wheel arches lending the car a powerful appearance. The standout alloy wheels with a unique dual-toned petal shape further augment this robust appeal. The rear of the vehicle features a split aero rear spoiler and a full-width LED light bar, adding to its sleek appearance.
Though the concept model of the Curvv had a distinct front fascia, some tweaks have been made for the production model. An amalgamation of the Harrier and Nexon's styling, the revised front fascia helps keep production costs in check. But, this might not be exciting news to those who were looking forward to a completely novel design.
The Curvv is expected to compete favourably with rivals such as Creta and Seltos when it comes to features. Besides usual luxuries like a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, voice commands, and panoramic sunroof, it is set to offer head-up display (HUD) and Tata’s new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. Additionally, Curvv will support a wide array of connectivity features.
The Curvv will borrow its engine options from Nexon. It may come with a tuned-up 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine delivering 125 PS and 225 Nm, compared to the 120 PS and 170 Nm generated by this engine in the Nexon. The other engine variant could be a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 115 PS and 260 Nm. An electric version of the Curvv is also planned.
