1.The Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift and Dzire
The latest Maruti Suzuki Swift is targeted for a launch in the Indian region around the months of April and May 2024, with its sedan variant, the Dzire, scheduled to debut in India probably in the latter part of 2024. The Swift and Dzire models will share many commonalities, including base structure, power mechanism, external designs, and interior setups. However, the Dzire will feature a lengthier design along with a distinct rear profile design.
Inside, both cars will possess a newly designed dashboard in conjunction with a free-standing 9-inch infotainment system, modern instrument console, automatic HVAC, and more. Powering both vehicles will be the new three-cylinder Z12E 1.2-litre petrol engine, which will also offer a mild-hybrid option. Production of the new-gen Swift is planned to start from February 2024.
2.The Maruti Suzuki eVX – An Electric SUV
Maruti Suzuki has stated its intention to launch its inaugural electric car model, named eVX, in the Indian market by late 2024. The prototype eVX was revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo in India, and since then it has been spotted during several test drives. The production version of eVX will adopt an all-new electric skateboard platform.
The final version of the eVX will be approximately 4.3 metres long and have a wheelbase of about 2700mm. Two battery configurations will be available, a 48kWh variant with an estimated 400km range, and a more potent 60kWh version offering about 550km of driving on a single charge.
3.The Toyota Taisor
The crossover SUV from Toyota, based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, is set to enter the Indian market shortly. Officially named Taisor, it's expected to share its foundational structure and powertrain with the Fronx. The Toyota Taisor will house minor design modifications from the Fronx, including subtle changes to the front grille, bumpers, and alloy wheels.
