Hero MotoCorp Targets Eco-Conscious Riders with Affordable Vida V1 Plus eScooter

Hero MotoCorp Targets Eco-Conscious Riders with Affordable Vida V1 Plus eScooter

Discover Hero MotoCorp's latest 2024 Vida V1 Plus electric scooter, offering affordability and eco-friendly commuting. Explore now.

With a view to bolstering its presence in the burgeoning electric scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp has made a strategic move by officially launching the 2024 version of the Vida V1 Plus in India. The newly introduced scooter is affordably priced at Rs. 1.15 lakh and is aimed at environmentally aware riders looking for a cost-effective commuting option. The Vida V1 Plus is positioned to compete fiercely with other market players such as the Ather 450S, Bajaj Chetak, and Ola S1 Air. Vida_V1_Plus_eScooter The journey to this successful launch has not been smooth for Hero MotoCorp. The launch of the original Vida V1 Plus electric scooter was met with criticism due to its pricing, leading the company to reassess its pricing strategy. In response, Hero MotoCorp launched the more reasonably priced Vida V1 Pro at Rs. 1.4 lakh last year, taking into account central subsidies. However, there was a period when the Vida V1 Plus was withdrawn from the market.

Fast-forward to 2024, and the Vida V1 Plus has made a comeback. This rejuvenated version of the scooter is now more attractive with a price tag of Rs.1.15 lakh, which includes the FAME II central subsidy as well as a portable charger. The new, more competitive price point positions the Vida V1 Plus as an appealing alternative for riders, especially given its lower price compared to the Vida V1 Pro, which is retailing at Rs. 30,000 more. Vida_V1_Plus_eScooter State governments across India are also playing a significant role in promoting electric mobility by rolling out additional subsidies. For instance, the Delhi government provides such incentives that allow residents to purchase the Vida V1 Plus for less than Rs.1 lakh, specifically, Rs.97,800. This initiative is designed to ease the financial strain on buyers and speed up the transition to more environmentally friendly transportation options.

In terms of features, the Vida V1 Plus shares numerous similarities with its pricier sibling, the Vida V1 Pro. Styling cues, seating designs, and a user-friendly 7-inch touchscreen dashboard are some of the features common to both scooters. Additionally, both models are powered by a 6 kW electric motor and can reach a top speed of 80 km/h. Vida_V1_Plus_eScooter The primary distinguishing factors that account for the price difference between the V1 Plus and V1 Pro reside in specific characteristics. The more expensive V1 Pro is equipped with a larger 3.94 kWh battery, capable of achieving a range of 110 km per charge. On the other hand, the V1 Plus has a slightly smaller 3.44 kWh battery but still manages to offer an impressive range of 100 km. Vida_V1_Plus_eScooter Currently offered at a discount of Rs. 30,000, the refreshed 2024 Hero Vida V1 Plus is a cost-effective and environmentally friendly transportation solution. By making this affordable scooter accessible to a broader customer base, Hero MotoCorp is helping to drive the increasing popularity of electric vehicles in India.

2025 Jawa 42 FJ Spotted Testing with New Single Exhaust Design Update

The 2025 Jawa 42 FJ has been spotted undergoing testing, revealing a notable design update: the transition from a dual exhaust system to a single exhaust setup.

Streamlined Exhaust Design 2025_Jawa_42_FJ_01 Recent spy images indicate the absence of the left-side exhaust, suggesting a shift to a single exhaust configuration. While the right-side exhaust is not clearly visible, it's possible that the motorcycle may feature an underbelly exhaust system. This change aligns with the retro-inspired aesthetics of the Jawa 42 FJ, which includes elements like a circular headlamp, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and broad rear fender. Performance and Handling Enhancements 2025_Jawa_42_FJ_01 Adopting a single exhaust system offers several benefits Weight Reduction: Eliminating one exhaust pipe reduces the motorcycle's overall weight, enhancing agility and maneuverability. Improved Power-to-Weight Ratio: A lighter bike improves the power-to-weight ratio, potentially leading to better acceleration and handling. Cost Efficiency: Simplifying the exhaust system can lower production costs without compromising performance. The 2025 Jawa 42 FJ is expected to retain its 334cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, delivering 29.17 PS of power and 29.62 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Additional Observations Beyond the exhaust modification, the motorcycle maintains its classic design elements. Notably, the seat appears to have been shortened, and the tail section revised, giving the bike a more bobber-like appearance.
