In 2024, the motoring world was taken by surprise when Brabus, renowned for its high-performance aftermarket vehicles, unveiled the astonishing Rocket 1000. No ordinary automobile, the Rocket 1000 was the first creation from Brabus to boast an awe-inspiring 1,000 horsepower, setting a new benchmark for the company’s line of incredible vehicles.
The Rocket 1000 took its base from the already impressive AMG GT 63 S E Performance. Power figures of the Rocket 1000 seemingly broke the barriers of reality. The car’s engine alone produced a mighty 796hp and 922lb ft of torque. On total, the automobile’s combined output was a staggering 1,342lb ft, although, for the sake of durability, Brabus limited it to 1,195lb ft. The performance was outstanding as the Rocket 1000 could zip from standstill to 62mph in a mere 2.7 seconds and reach a speed of 186mph in just 23.9 seconds before a speed limiter stepped in, only shortly after.
To distinguish the Rocket 1000 from the standard GT63, Brabus fitted it with a unique widebody kit. The car's width was increased by 67mm with new fenders and bare carbon aero parts. Besides improving stability, these changes gave the Rocket 1000 a menacing visual appeal that was further bolstered by 21-inch front and 22-inch rear forged wheels, a diffuser, and four carbon-jacketed titanium exhaust pipes.
The interior had the same degree of attention to detail. Customers could opt for a grey finish with red accents or a black finish with grey details. In addition, the upholstery featured a heritage pattern with the number ‘77’ – commemorating the year of the company’s formation – embossed onto it.
Although the Rocket 1000 certainly offered exceptional features, it came with a significant price tag. Clocking in at €450,000 or £385,000, it was two times more expensive than a standard E Performance.
