It’s important to note that the PPC is distinct from Audi’s Premium Platform Electric that supports models like the Q6 e-tron and Porsche Macan EV. The A5 still features a longitudinal engine layout but is versatile enough to accommodate various electrified powertrains. According to Autocar UK, the PPC can support range-extender EV powertrains, but Audi has no current plans to introduce such a variant in the A5.
