Continuing to push its boundaries in the EV domain, Tata Motors will introduce the Curvv and Harrier EVs this year. 2023 will witness the firm further boosting its EV roster with the Sierra EV and Altroz EV. Against this backdrop, the company envisages the contribution of EVs to its total volume increasing from the current 12-15% (17-20% in terms of revenues), to between 15% and 17% by 2024. Furthermore, Tata Motors foresees a quarter of its portfolio being composed of EVs within the next three years, a figure it expects to hit the halfway mark by the turn of the next decade.
Noteworthy is the unique positioning of the Punch EV. According to Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, the Punch EV is well-placed between the Tiago EV and Nexon EV in the company's portfolio, making it particularly appealing to younger buyers.
