Mercedes-Benz India has officially launched the facelifted version of its EQB electric SUV, with prices starting at Rs 70.90 lakh. This refreshed model boasts aesthetic enhancements, updated features, and for the first time, a new 5-seat configuration option.

Externally, the Mercedes EQB facelift features a redesigned grille adorned with the brand's iconic star pattern, echoing design cues from the latest Mercedes EV models like the EQA. In contrast, the EQB 350 4Matic features a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive, delivering a combined output of 292hp and 520Nm torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100kph in just 6.2 seconds.
Battery range has seen a significant boost. The 250+ provides a WLTP-certified range of up to 447km, while the 350 4Matic stretches the range up to 535km on a single charge. Quick charging capabilities allow the battery to go from 10% to 80% in a mere 32-35 minutes when using a DC fast charger. Full charging times are 6 hours 45 minutes for the 350 4Matic and roughly 7 hours 15 minutes for the 250+, using an 11kW AC charger.
Currently, the EQB faces no direct competitors in the Indian market. It sits above the newly introduced EQA in Mercedes' electric vehicle lineup and is expected to compare with models like the Volvo XC40 Recharge and BMW iX1 among other similarly priced electric SUVs. The EQB facelift deliveries are set to commence in January 2025.
